The concept and planning are complete. All my wishes and thoughts, and also all the regulations, are now on paper. This drawing is how the Roasting Shop will present itself in reality. There have been several versions; working with my carpenters and consulting with the authorities, the original drawing has been adapted and refined. Thanks to the two carpenters for their patience, ideas and excellent co-operation. After a final meeting in the Roasting Shop, the work has begun. It is exciting to see how the drawing is slowly taking shape between my visits to the Shop. The water supply and drains were laid in the first few days. Now the workers are preparing the base where the roasting machine will stand. Only when the roaster is in place as the heart of the Roasting Shop will they be able to continue with the other work. The machine is already on its way to Japan. Placing the roaster in the Roasting Shop will be an exciting moment. More on this will follow...
